The project involved an advanced consumer product processing line, which had been originally installed and commissioned in a factory located in Greece, this line was to be relocated to a site in Spain.
Project Scope:
The focus of the project was to integrate and modify the existing control system infrastructure including design, system development, commissioning and training to handover to customer.
Due to the differences in machine layout and process from the original scheme installed in Greece, Boulting Technology's scope included;
- The interrogation and modification of the existing Siemens S5 PLC software and SCADA software code (Siemens protocol).
- Design and engineering of the modifications needed to upgrade a number of the existing controls panels.
- Design and build of three new control panels including: a Siemens S7-400 PLC with ET200M and ET200S, distributed I/O new control panels including WinCC flex, one Beckhoff PLC with Zenon SCADA.
As part of the project our engineers carried out extensive control panel modifications, installation of new panels, commissioning of the PLC and SCADA software and customer training.
