Case Study: Replacement GMP receivers

Case study: Replacement GMP receivers
Client: AstraZeneca
Project: Replacement GMP receivers

Contract Scope:

The Boulting Group was asked to replace two existing horizontal, non-agitated receivers with new vertical, glass-lined, agitated receivers as part of a GMP improvement project.

New instrumentation was required to measure vessel contents’ temperature, via the baffle and the bottom run-off valve, and load cells were needed to measure content. A sampling system was provided for the vessel contents.

Operator access platforms were implemented, to allow operator/maintenance access to the vessel-head for inspection and sample-taking. A lifting beam was installed to allow top works removal.
