Fundraising Fun for Nominated Charity

14/3/2011

Here at Boulting Group we believe that we have a real opportunity to invest in ways that bring life-changing support to those most vulnerable in our local and global communities.  As such we play an active role in helping charitable causes and encourage all our employees to get involved with fundraising activities.

Since October 2010 we have invested our efforts in providing support for the Warrington General Hospital Neonatal Unit.  This charity was nominated by employees throughout all of Boulting's offices and work sites and will remain as our nominated charity until October 2011.

Through a serious of events, sponsored activities and sales the company-wide efforts of Boulting's employees have, to date, raised over £1,500.  Highlights over the last 6 months have included a fundraising dress down day and cake sales, as well as the opening of a second hand book shop and tuck shop with all proceeds going towards the charity.

The effort and enthusiasm will continue and plans are in place for future fundraising activities.  Later on this year Boulting employees will be asked to get their thinking caps and running shoes on for a quiz night and games event, alongside there will also be a series of cake sales and dress downs, while the Tuck and Book shops will be a continued feature at Boulting head office.

Warrington General Neonatal Unit cares for more than 400 special care babies every year and is currently equipped with three intensive care cots and a total of 18 spaces for a mix of high dependency and special care babies.
