Technology Division successfully passes LRQA ISO 9001 QMS Assessment with no findings!

15/6/2011

A major milestone was achieved when LRQA completed its Bi Annual Assessment of Technology Division (Penketh, Stafford & Southampton facilities) ISO 9001 QMS accreditation in Feb 2011 and concluded the visit with, ‘no findings' and ‘no' "areas for management attention".

Gordon Mullis, Technology Operations Director, commented, "I am very pleased with this result, which is well deserved by the team for their commitment to driving high quality standards".

Last year the Technology division set up a Quality Improvement Team (pictured) lead by Ian Oliver and John Ridley. Within days a major review and revision was underway for Software Verification & Validation procedure, which was rolled out internally via formal training.

Steve Armstrong, Group QMS Manager, stated, "this served to clearly define the Quality Assurance fundamentals again and allowed people to get involvement with readdressing the processes and procedures to meet current working practises".

One month later LRQA revisited Stafford office and successfully recommended Technology for continued ISO 9001 QMS certification after verification and closing out the Major NC.

The LRQA Assessment Executive summary reported, "the system is now effective and the new process is being followed by the offsite staff.  Continual  improvement with the introduction of the QA and Continual Improvement Team at Stafford are also positive steps".

The Quality Improvement Team continue to drive the consistent levels of quality compliance, aided by training, lessons learned, Quality Improvement initiatives and internal auditing process.
