Telemetry Framework Agreement secured with Scottish Water

15/3/2010

Boulting Group (Technology Division) has secured a Framework Agreement with Scottish Water for the delivery of Telemetry Specialist Services (TSS) across the whole of Scottish Water's regions.  This framework was won against fierce  competition controlled under the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) tendering processes.  The agreement is for up to 10years: 6years followed by 2 possible extensions of 2 years each based on performance.

The projected spend for Scottish Water over the framework period is up to £50M shared between the 3 framework suppliers, Boulting, IDS and Brellion Engineering.

To fully support this service from Scotland, a new team has been set up, operating out of our Grangemouth Office.  Our Framework Manager, Jim McCallum, joined the Boulting Group 8th March 10.  Jim has extensive experience in the delivery of telemetry projects for Scottish Water in his years with Texonet and Scottish Water.  Jim has a strong team of 4 Telemetry Engineers (Colin McInnes, Jon French, Chris Smith & Gordon Bowden) who are experienced in executing both the Design (capex 1-3) and Delivery (capex 3-5) packages for Scottish Water.

Awarding Boulting Group with both the Telemetry and MCC/SI framework agreements makes a lot of sense for Scottish Water, making the interface between the site control system and telemetry outstations the responsibility of a single supplier. This should not only save money, but cut down on delays in transfer of information between disciplines.

We welcome Jim and his team to the Boulting Group and wish them every success in growing this service for Scottish Water.
