Boulting, the multi-disciplined engineering solutions provider, has completed the electrical system specification, design and installation for three Biofuels plants on three major Fuel Distribution terminals.
Biofuels are added to conventional fuels (Petrol and Diesel) in order to reduce vehicle emissions and reduce the burden on fossil fuels as part of European legislation.
The demand for Biofuels has increased dramatically over the last couple of years and the client recognised the need for swift investment in order to secure a major share of the market.
Boulting were urgently tasked with designing the Biofuels mixing plants electrical systems - subsequently leading to provisions for build and installation services.
Scope of work included:
The new MCCs were specified and built at Boulting's dedicated Electrical Switchgear and Intelligent MCC manufacturing facility at Penketh, Warrington. After carrying out all electrical installation works, Boulting worked with the Client's engineers to complete the commissioning process with Boulting's specialist Process Control Engineers, based at Stafford, providing software support at selected terminals.
This project demonstrates Boulting's core capabilities and ability to deliver a complete Design, Build and Installation solution against demanding deadlines and time constraints.
