Boulting are proud to be a founder patron of this exciting youth project. We have supported the initiative over the last 12months and are committed to a total of three years support. The project provides much needed resource for young people in the Wirral area.
The Hive is a new purpose built building and garden with a skate park. Its collaborative approach with its clients (local youngsters, youth clubs and services) means that their input has been implicit in the designs to ensure their needs are fully met. Something that resonates with our approach to client relationships.
Michelle Stott, HR manager and Peter McLean, Finance director visited The Hive in November to take a look at the building in progress. “It’s great to see the progress of the building and see what a difference our support has made to the project” stated Peter.” The hive will bring rejuvenation to the Wirral area and provide opportunities to the young people it serves. It will open their eyes to a multitude of opportunities for them to progress, developing their life skills”.
The building is due for completion on the 17th February, with an official opening in April 2017. The Hive is looking to recruit some 100 volunteers by that time and would welcome a whole range of skills.
The purpose built facility in Birkenhead will provide services for young people aged 8-19, and is inclusive in its design for less able bodied youngsters too. www.thehiveyouthzone.org
